There are some places that just make you want to keep shooting, and Persimmon Creek Barn is one of them.


When these two told me they wanted to have their engagement session at the same venue they'll be getting married at next May, I was so excited!! It gave us the chance to explore the property together, slow down, and create something that felt true to them before the wedding day.


One of the biggest reasons I loved photographing here was how much variety the property has. We walked through the fields, spent time by the water, and ended the evening around the barn as the sun started to set. Every spot felt different, but it all flowed together so naturally.


My favorite photos are always the ones that don't feel posed. The little laughs, the way they looked at each other when they thought I wasn't paying attention, the quiet moments in between. Those are the moments that make a gallery feel like a memory instead of just a collection of pictures.


Persimmon Creek Barn was the perfect place for that. It has this peaceful feeling that makes it easy to slow down and just be present together. Add in the warm evening light and it honestly felt like we were creating scenes from a movie.


Getting to photograph a couple's engagement session at the same place they'll say "I do" makes everything feel even more meaningful. By the time their wedding day gets here, they'll already know what it's like to be in front of my camera, and I'll already know how they naturally connect with each other. It makes the whole experience feel relaxed from the very beginning.


I already know next May is going to be such a special day, and after this session I honestly can't wait to come back to Persimmon Creek Barn and tell the next chapter of their story.
